Getting traffic to your website is one of the ongoing challenges of building an online business. You can create useful blog posts, build landing pages and put together a funnel, but you still need visitors if you want those efforts to produce results.
There are plenty of ways to generate traffic, and I use several of them in my own business. Safelists and viral mailers are among the options I use to promote the funnels and programs I discuss here on DavidHurley.net.
The difficulty is that keeping up with multiple mailers can become a time-consuming task. This is where Traffic Zipper comes in. It automates much of the routine involved in safelist marketing, while providing information that can help you make better decisions about where to advertise.
Automate Your Safelist Marketing
If you’ve used safelists before, you’ll know the basic process. You log in, check your available credits, select an advertisement and send it to other members. You can earn credits by viewing other members’ advertisements, or obtain them through the options offered by each individual program.
The process is straightforward enough, but it becomes repetitive when you’re using several mailers. You have to remember which sites need attention, check your credits and submit your advertisements individually.
Traffic Zipper is designed to take much of that manual work off your hands.
Its Autopilot feature checks participating mailers for opportunities to send advertisements when the necessary conditions are met. Once you’ve set everything up, it can handle eligible mailings in the background rather than requiring you to visit each site yourself.
You still need to maintain your accounts and make sure your advertising is appropriate for each program. Autopilot doesn’t remove every task involved in traffic generation, but it can reduce the amount of time you spend managing routine mailings.
For someone promoting several affiliate programs and maintaining multiple websites, that convenience is worth considering.
A Selection of Tried-and-Tested Mailers
There are hundreds of safelists and viral mailers available to online marketers. Finding the ones that are worth your time can involve a fair amount of experimentation.
Traffic Zipper integrates with a selection of mailers that its team has tested and selected. This gives you a starting point without having to discover and evaluate every potential traffic source yourself.
That doesn’t mean you should restrict yourself to the mailers available through Traffic Zipper. I recommend and use other traffic sources too. Different programs can serve different purposes, and there’s no reason to rule out a useful source simply because it isn’t integrated into one particular service.
However, having a selection of tested mailers available through a single system makes it easier to organise your advertising. You can use Traffic Zipper for the participating programs that suit your needs while continuing to use other sources separately.
You can check the current selection of integrated mailers and available features at TrafficZipper.com.
Why Click-Through Rate Matters
One feature worth paying attention to is the performance information available in the Traffic Zipper members area, including click-through rate (CTR) data for individual mailers.
It’s easy to be impressed by the membership numbers of a traffic program. A large membership might look attractive, but the number of members alone doesn’t tell you how effectively your advertisements will perform.
Click-through rate gives you another way to assess an advertising source. In general, CTR measures the proportion of delivered emails or displayed advertisements that result in a click, although the precise calculation depends on how the platform defines the metric.
Comparing the reported figures for different mailers can help you identify which ones are attracting more clicks and may deserve closer attention.
Of course, CTR isn’t the whole story. An advertisement might attract plenty of clicks without producing many subscribers, and subscribers don’t necessarily become customers. Your landing page, the offer itself and the audience you’re reaching all influence the eventual results.
Nevertheless, having performance data is more useful than relying entirely on guesswork. It gives you another factor to consider when deciding where to concentrate your advertising efforts.
I wouldn’t automatically abandon a mailer with a lower CTR, nor would I assume that the one with the highest figure will always produce the best results. I’d use the information alongside my own tracking of visits, opt-ins and conversions.
The aim is to find traffic sources that work for your particular offers, rather than simply send as many emails as possible.
How I Use Traffic Zipper in My Online Business
Here on DavidHurley.net, I discuss a range of online business tools, affiliate marketing opportunities and ways to build an online presence. Some of those posts lead to funnels I’ve created or use to introduce people to particular offers.
One example is my Stack Your Sats funnel, which features my Stack Your Sats: Mission 1 Bitcoin ebook. The funnel gives visitors a way to access the lead magnet and learn more about the associated opportunity.
Creating the funnel is only one part of the process. I also need to get people to visit the page in the first place.
Traffic Zipper is one of the tools I use to promote funnels like this through safelist advertising. By automating mailings across participating programs, it helps me keep that traffic-generation activity moving without spending so much time logging into individual sites.
The same principle applies to other funnels and affiliate offers I discuss on the blog. I can use different traffic sources to bring visitors to relevant pages, while the pages themselves provide the information and next steps for people who are interested.
This is also why I pay attention to the quality of the traffic rather than simply the volume. Getting people to click an advertisement is a start, but I ultimately want visitors who are interested in what the funnel offers.
Traffic Zipper helps with the advertising process. The rest of the system still needs to be in place, from the landing page to the follow-up emails and the offer I’m promoting.
Is Traffic Zipper Worth Considering?
If you’re already using several safelists or viral mailers, Traffic Zipper is worth investigating. Its combination of automated mailings, integrated traffic programs and performance information can make this part of your marketing easier to manage.
The benefits will depend on how you currently generate traffic. If you rarely use safelists, you may find that other methods deserve more of your attention. But if you regularly advertise through multiple mailers, automating the repetitive work could free up time for other parts of your business.
As with any marketing tool, take a look at the current features, membership options and supported programs before deciding whether it fits your needs.

Make Your Traffic Generation More Manageable
Building an online business involves plenty of work that requires your personal attention. You need to create useful content, develop offers, build your email list and improve the experience you provide to visitors.
That doesn’t mean every repetitive task has to be done manually.
I use Traffic Zipper as one part of my approach to promoting the funnels and affiliate programs I discuss on DavidHurley.net. The Autopilot feature helps manage routine safelist mailings, while the available performance information gives me another way to assess the traffic sources I’m using.
No automation tool can guarantee leads or sales, but reducing the time spent on repetitive advertising tasks can make it easier to maintain your marketing activity alongside everything else you’re doing.
If safelists are part of your traffic strategy, take a look at Traffic Zipper and see whether it could help you manage your advertising more efficiently.
Cheers!
